A Google Business Profile is the free listing Google shows for your business on Search and Maps, with your name, category, address or service area, hours, phone, website, photos and customer reviews. Google says you can manage how your business shows up on Maps and Search at no charge.
To set up a Google Business Profile, first check whether a profile already exists. Add a new profile only when needed, or claim the existing one if you are authorized. Enter the real-world business name, a specific primary category, accurate address or service area, customer-facing hours and contact details, then complete one of the verification methods Google offers. Verification methods are chosen by Google, and verification is not a promise of ranking or an exemption from profile policies.
Yes, you can delete a Google Business Profile from your Google Account: open the profile, choose “More”, then “Business Profile settings”, then “Remove Business Profile”. What that deletes is your access and your own content, not the place: Google says the business might still show up on Search and Maps, and customer reviews remain.
