A suspended listing is not deleted. It is waiting for evidence.

Google took your listing off the map, or took you off the listing, and the email says a guideline was broken without saying which. That is a suspension. It is undone with one appeal, and the appeal is won with evidence and a fixed cause, not with an argument.

Most suspensions have one of six causes, and most failed appeals were filed before the cause was fixed. This page is the order of operations. Start with the free check: it says which kind of suspension you have and what the appeal will need.

Two kinds of suspension

The email looks the same for both. What happened is not.

Soft suspensionHard suspension
What you seeThe listing is on the map, but you are no longer verified on itThe listing is gone from the map and from search
What customers seeEverything, as beforeNothing
What it usually meansGoogle doubts the account, not the businessGoogle doubts the business, or the address
What undoes itRe-verification, sometimes with an appealAn appeal, with evidence, after the cause is fixed

A soft suspension is urgent because anyone can now claim the listing. A hard one is urgent because you have no listing.

What Google suspends for

Google does not say which rule, but six causes cover almost every case, and the fix for each is known.

The causeWhat it looks like
Words in the name that are not the name“Oslo Dental Clinic Best Implants” on a sign that says “Oslo Dental”
An address that is not a business addressA mailbox, a shared office, a flat, a warehouse nobody visits
A category Google looks at harderLawyers, locksmiths, clinics in some categories, anything sold by phone
More than one listing for the same doorAn old one, a duplicate, a listing an agency made
A run of edits, or a new manager, in a short timeName, address and category changed in one week, then an agency added
An account that manages many suspended listingsThe agency’s account, not yours, holding your listing

The last two are the ones owners never suspect, and they are the reason a listing should be verified into your own account with anyone else as a removable manager.

Why appeals fail

Four ways, and they account for nearly all of them. The appeal is filed before the cause is fixed, so Google looks and sees the same listing. The appeal argues instead of showing: it says the suspension is unfair, and attaches nothing. The appeal is filed twice, and the second one is closed as a duplicate. Or a new listing is created to get around the suspended one, and both are suspended, with the account.

There is one appeal, and after a no, one chance to add evidence. That is the whole budget. It is why the order is fix first, evidence second, appeal last, and never the other way round.

What the appeal needs

Proof that the business exists at that address under that name, and proof that the cause is gone. Registration papers with the name and address. A lease or a utility bill for the address. Photographs of the sign, the door with the number, and the inside. The listing itself, already corrected: the name as on the sign, the address as on the papers, one category that matches what you do.

Every document has to agree with every other one and with the listing. One mismatch is one more reason for Google to say no, and Google is looking for a reason.

What we do

What is doneWhen
Which kind of suspension it is, and which of the six causes, namedIn the free check
Every listing for your address found, duplicates removed or mergedBefore the appeal
The name, address and category corrected to match the sign and the papersBefore the appeal
The evidence collected and checked against each other and the listingBefore the appeal
The appeal written out and filed, onceOnce
If it comes back as no, the one addition of evidence, prepared and filedOnce
Ownership moved into your own account, with us as a manager you can removeThe day it is back

This is the same first part of profile setup that verification is, done in a different order: the cause first, because until it is gone there is nothing to appeal with.

How verification works

What this costs

Reinstatement is not sold on its own, and it is not on the price list. The work it takes, the corrections, the evidence and the appeal written out, is the first part of the setup of your profile: 1 120 € for twenty-eight hours, once, which also puts the rest of the listing in order before anyone starts running it.

If you only want to know where you stand, the presence and listings audit finds every listing for your address, marks the suspended one and its duplicates, and costs 420 € for three and a half hours, on its own or inside the 960 € full audit. Postpaid, no prepayment and no minimum term.

The full price list, with the hours

Three things we will not do

We will not file an appeal before the cause is fixed. It spends the one appeal you have on a listing Google has already looked at and refused.

We will not create a new listing to get around a suspended one. Google suspends the new one, and the account with it, and the real appeal becomes harder to win.

We will not promise reinstatement. Google decides, and anyone who promises otherwise is promising something they do not control.

Questions

why was my google business profile suspended

Google will not tell you, but six causes cover almost every case: words in the name that are not the name, an address that is not a business address, a category Google looks at harder, more than one listing for the same door, a run of edits or a new manager in a short time, or an agency account that holds many suspended listings. The free check says which one it is.

how to appeal google business profile suspension

Fix the cause first, collect the evidence second, and file the appeal last, once. The appeal is filed from the profile, with documents that prove the business exists at that address under that name: registration, a lease or a utility bill, photographs of the sign and the door. An appeal that argues instead of showing is refused.

google business profile reinstatement request

The request is the appeal: one form, filed from the profile, with the evidence attached. There is one request per suspension and, after a refusal, one chance to add evidence. Filing it twice closes the second as a duplicate, which is why it is written out fully before it is sent.

google business profile reinstatement service

The honest version finds the cause, fixes the listing, collects the evidence and writes the appeal once, and it hands the listing back into your own account. Ours is the first part of profile setup, 1 120 € for twenty-eight hours. The dishonest version promises reinstatement, which nobody controls, or creates a new listing, which makes it worse.

What reinstatement costs

It is not on the price list on its own. The work sits inside the setup of your profile at 1 120 € for twenty-eight hours, once. If you only want to know what happened and what the appeal would need, the presence and listings audit is 420 € for three and a half hours, on its own or inside the 960 € full audit.

how long does google business profile appeal take

Days, and often weeks, and Google does not publish a deadline. What takes longer is a refused appeal, because the one addition of evidence after it is the last move you have. Our part, fixing the cause and collecting the evidence, takes most of the setup’s three weeks; the appeal itself is filed once that is done.

google business profile suspended suspicious activity

That wording usually means the account, not the business: a run of edits in a short time, a new manager added, or an agency account that already holds suspended listings. The fix is to stop editing, move the listing into the owner’s own account, and appeal with the ordinary evidence of a real business at a real address.

why google business profile reinstatement fails

Because the appeal was filed before the cause was fixed, because it argued instead of attaching evidence, because it was filed twice, or because a new listing was created in the meantime. Google looks at the listing as it is on the day of the appeal, not at the explanation.

is google business profile reinstatement a scam

The appeal itself is free and is filed by you or by someone you let into your account. What is a scam is a promise of reinstatement for a fee, a request for your login, or a new listing offered as a shortcut. What is not a scam is paying for the work before the appeal: the corrections, the evidence and the writing, which is what decides it.
